Radical Magical Brilliance (RMB) is a multidisciplinary creative and well-being platform centering the inner lives, stories, creativity, and lived experiences of Black women.
Founded by artist, psychotherapist, writer, and digital storyteller, Gabrilla Ballard, RMB exists at the intersection of art, storytelling, psychology, culture, spirituality, and collective well-being. Through podcasts, documentary storytelling, visual art, writing, conversations, workshops, and other creative offerings, RMB creates space for Black women to explore the fullness and complexity of our lives—not simply how we survive, but how we create, imagine, heal, rest, make meaning, experience joy, and shape our own definitions of a life well lived.
At its heart, Radical Magical Brilliance is interested in the “sacred interiority of Black women”: the dreams, questions, rituals, relationships, creative impulses, ancestral inheritances, and everyday practices that shape who we are and who we are becoming.
RMB also recognizes that our lives and liberation do not exist in isolation. Our experiences intersect with those of Indigenous women and women of color throughout the world, whose histories, struggles, creativity, knowledge, and visions for the future are both distinct and interconnected. We approach these relationships with curiosity, solidarity, and respect for the specificity of our different experiences.
More than a media platform, Radical Magical Brilliance is an evolving creative ecosystem—a place for stories to be witnessed, ideas to be explored, art to be made, and conversations to unfold about what it means to live with greater wholeness, freedom, imagination, and possibility.
